Encountering this remote desktop disconnectivity one time too many has annoyed me enough to make a note once and for all so I don't keep forgetting how this pesky issues is dealt with.
Delete the following registry key and restart RDC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\MSLICENSING
