New tyres - Michelin Pilot Sport

I recently mounted a brand new pair of Michelin Pilot Sport to replace my motorcycle's worn tyres. It seems pretty difficult to search it out, and Delphi forums appears to be down. Does anybody know some site with good statistics on break-in distances for such new tyres?

Ho, I crossed 300Km last Saturday! How long did that take me to cover such a distance....

    Woohoo

In servicing my bike at the 55000Km mark, my mechanic discovered the piston actually had a bad surface cut and the piston block also had scratches - signs of engine seizure probably induced by previous owner. Based on recommendation I purchased a new piston (down some $300).

Never mind the price, new break-in distance for brand new piston + rings - 3000Km!

Maybe I should pay house visits to distant friends more often now....

Provided your distant friends live in China.

    Re: Woohoo

No thank you. At least I get to cover some > 25Km per trip to fro work, so it's 50+ in a day. 4 days can deliver > 100Km. That gives me 30 x 4 = 120 days, approximately 4 months of riding like my mother.
