Besides the <a href="http://www.wavecom.com/Products_V2/product.php?prs_id=31&prg_id=8">Wavecom modems</a>, are there other notable ones that operate in both serial COM and USB? Actually, preferably I'm looking for a COM interface because an existing app only appears to work with that and can't touch USB devices.

Get an SonyEricsson modem or a mobile phone with built in modem .. my previous mp3 seimens phone has a built in modem.
