Windows OneCare 2: No, just let me touch it!

So i've been testing out Windows Live beta version of OneCare 2 for a couple of months now; had always wanted to know how a security product can drag my shiny new desktop to its knees. The good part is, I don't notice a servere performance hit.

The stupid part is, though, when I try to configure its anti-virus settings to exclude some files for scanning, like hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys, I cannot add it to the exclusion list

    [Window Title]
    Open

    [Content]
    hiberfil.sys
    This file is in use.
Enter a new name or close the file that’s open in another program.

    [OK]

I am just stumped. What exactly does OneCare want to do with it before finally ignoring it forever, take a blood sample for HIV testing I suppose. I thought this was a simple operation to tell a program not to read a file. But I guess you certainly cannot curb the curiosity of children; the more you tell them not to touch something, the more they want to find out. Now where is my cane......
