Smooth-talking your way through with abstraction

We all know the drill. Politicians, executives, management and such have a tendency to employ a rather slippery technique to answer difficult questions posed to them. In any unconscious or conscious effort to sound cool, evade, confuse, distract the recipients of their messages, statements heavy on vague meaning, ambiguous references, generic coverage, euphemistic sounds run untamed like a blown fire hydrant.

But this "skill" ain't limited to people at the top of the food chain. One such interviewee for ASP.NET web development tries to apply the method of generic coverage:

Q: What base class do all Web Forms inherit from?

    A: System.Object

Now, how can I argue with that?
